Lighthouse Design Ships Concurrence 2.0
Significant Upgrade to NEXTSTEP's Best-Selling
Presentation Product

August 24, 1994 - SAN MATEO, CA - Lighthouse Design, Ltd. today
announced that it has shipped Concurrence 2.0, a major revision to
its best-selling presentation and outlining program for the
object-oriented NEXTSTEP, environment.  Lighthouse also said it
will offer Concurrence 2.0 at a special introductory price of $695,
with upgrades available at $199 until November 30th.

Design's productivity offerings." Concurrence 2 is an integrated
presentation and outlining program that enables users to quickly
and easily create high-impact professional presentations for 35mm
slides, overheads, viewgraphs and on-line briefings.

Enhancements in this newest release of Concurrence include the
following:

-"Build" and "Continuation" slides, allowing presenters to build
on one thought over multiple slides

-Named master slides that allow users to create and manage standard
formats for consistent enterprise presentations

-Speaker notes and user configurable discussion handouts

-Automatic "tokens" display page numbering, dates, file and view
names

-User customizable digital "highlighters" that allow presenters to
add freeform markup during on-screen presentation

-Compatibility with Microsoft PowerPoint files

-User controllable drop shadows on text and graphics

-Customizable bullets and labels

-Dozens of new, optimized transition effects for on-screen slideshows

-Support for NEXTSTEP 3.0 Object Links

-User controllable page breaks on outlines

Broad array of new and improved graphics tools that allow users to
draw on the screen, rotate and resize graphics, and drag and drop
images formatted in any one of 30 standard image file formats

New output options support "thumbnail" views of up to 16 slides
per page with room for notes

Support for color slide "drafts" and handouts that can be automatically
transformed to black and white for easy review on standard laser
printers

Bundled collection of professionally designed slide templates
Improved application interface, including a new "Button Ribbon"
for easy function access

Concurrence's drag and drop outline processor automates the
preparation of structured documents, from legal briefs and memoranda
to discussion documents and reports. Easy-to-use "Master Topics"
now centralize formatting and structure for outline topics, as
"Master Slides" centralize formatting for slides. Outlines and
slides are seamlessly integrated so that large presentations can
be created first in outline form (in "brainstorming" fashion), then
automatically formatted into slides. Outlines and slides can be
edited simultaneously, eliminating revision errors, and providing
significant flexibility during presentation development and delivery.

Concurrence 2.0 is available now for Intel-, HP PA-RISC- and
Motorola-based versions of NEXTSTEP 3.2 or later. Through November
30th, Concurrence will be priced at $695 per user license with
upgrade pricing for Concurrence 1.x users set at $199.
